Refunds & Returns Policy

Our Promise

We stand by everything we make here at Maxine's.
If something is not right with your order, we will do our best to make it right, plain and simple.
Because our soaps and balms are personal-care items, there are a few rules we have to follow to keep things clean, safe, and fair for everyone.

Returns

We offer a 30-day return window starting from the day your order arrives.
To qualify for a return:
  • Your item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition you received it.
  • It must be in its original packaging with any seals, labels, or tags still attached.
  • You will need your receipt or proof of purchase.
Due to health and hygiene standards, we cannot accept returns on any item that has been opened, used, or tampered with.
To start a return, email us at info@maxinesoapco.com with your order number and reason for return. Once your request is approved, we will send you a return shipping label and simple instructions.
Please do not mail anything back until you have heard from us. Unauthorized returns cannot be accepted or refunded.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or not what you expected, please email us within 7 days of delivery at info@maxinesoapco.com.
Attach a few photos of the issue so we can take care of it quickly through a replacement or refund.

Items We Cannot Take Back

We would love to accept every return, but for safety and regulatory reasons, some items cannot come back once they have left our hands. These include:
  • Opened or used personal-care products such as soaps or balms
  • Gift cards and sale or clearance items
If you are unsure about whether your item qualifies, please reach out. We are happy to help.

Exchanges

If you would like a different scent or product, the fastest way is to return the unopened item and place a new order for the one you want. Once your return is approved and received, we will refund you for the original item.

European Union Customers

If your order ships to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason. The item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging, just like the policy above.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to let you know if it has been approved.
If approved, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note:
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable except if we made a mistake or your product arrived damaged.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or adjust refunds for items not returned in their original condition.
  • Banks and card companies may take a few extra days to post refunds on their end.
If it has been more than 15 business days since your refund was approved and you have not received it, contact us at info@maxinesoapco.com and we will look into it.
